Year End Reflection

I have taught myself not to depend on other people's learning but to trust myself and what I am capable of doing. Patience. That is one thing that I have learned throughout this quarter. I should be patient in doing my stuffs like the activities, blogs and web page.
I had encountered a few challenges because it was not really that difficult to be in the computer lab. But even though I didn't have much problems, I am not confident to say that I am good at making web pages. It's just that I had known something and followed instructions that were directed by our teacher.
Moving on, I will continually do my best in this subject and always keep my feet on the ground. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christ Must

The cold breeze dances with the aurora lights within the rhythm of the music; the tall nutcrackers and the Christmas decors hung on the doorways and the shining Christmas lights wrapped around the tree tells us that is Christmas Already!

For unto us a child is born, a son is given, The Messiah, Our Emmanuel and the birth of Jesus Christ. On the 25th of December, the Three Wise Men searched for the True King. The stars that guided their way, their journey towards the greatest treasure had came to pass, Jesus Christ was found in a manger with all the animals surrounding him. With the cloth that was wrapped on his body symbolizes the humility. God gave his only begotten son that those who shall believe in him shall not perish but he will have an everlasting life. The Three Wise Men believed the existence of God and Jesus Christ, they even offered him gift; Gold as a symbol of kingship on earth, frankincense (an incense) as a symbol of deity, and myrrh (an embalming oil) as a symbol of death. 

Christmas reminds us that the existence of Jesus Christ is true. What is written on the holy book--the bible--is true. It also reminds us that we should be always grateful on what we have and on what we will have in the future. Christmas means to me is hope. Hope means you believe in stuff like God, Santa, family, friends, and loved ones. Christmas also means having love for poor people that don't have food, love, or homes. It is a sign that we should not leave anyone behind with no food, shelter, clothes or anything. We should always help everyone if they are in need of something or even if they do not need anything, It is important to show your love and affection towards someone whom you think that needs some attention this Christmas.

However, we should not limit ourselves to help even if it's not Christmas Day but instead, make everyday a Christmas to be celebrated. It is not all about the gifts that we are going to receive but it is the blessing that we will give to other people.

Rational Acceptance:Bleeding Souls

It cannot be denied that the spread of this controversy regarding the violence against women and children is a serious public health concern, with costs at multiple levels of society. Although violence is a threat to everyone, women and children are particularly susceptible to victimization because they often have fewer rights or lack appropriate means of protection. In some societies certain types of violence are deemed socially or legally acceptable, thereby contributing further to the risk to women and children. As life continues to grow with outstanding achievements, there are also dark sides in this society. As we get to see the real world and as we develop tons of technologies and such, people continually pour out evilness and influence the youth and the people to take part in the disguise of a good and perfect image of a family.
In this society, men are traditionally labeled as the leaders and providers, the protector at all cost while women are seen as nurturers and helpers, staying at home and doing the chores. This perception leads to men gaining more power over women. Having this thought continuously yearns and intoxicates the minds of men to overpower women to retain
their power. Although the Government established laws to protect the rights of women and their children, the same and sometimes worst scenarios are continuously happening in different ways of abuse every day.
Seemingly, our country revolves as a male dominated infected area. Wherein, women are seen as nothing. Most women and children are abused every single day. They are murdered, tortured and above all, they are killed. These issues are arising and we cannot control it anymore. The fear of speaking up and the dark memories enveloped their minds as they shut their mouth and speak nothing because they think that they would be safe if no one will know their situation. Thus, their utmost needs and rights are not properly guarded because of their fears and “what ifs” clouding their minds.

The cries of hundreds and the bleeding souls of the infinite. The world may stay still, but violence will continue to reign. The beasts inside them and the wolves around the hem, treating like an animal and neglecting the true gem.

The equity that are marched out and campaigned throughout the world is useless if we keep on violating equal rights and justices. If continue to box out our emotions and situations, our wounds won’t heal and will continue to ache. Surely, with proper guidance associated with care, we all will claim the justice that was once lost.
The bleeding souls of the youth and the scream of the defeated, the moans of the shattered and broken vessels, the sound of peace ringing behind our ears. The sound of silence awaits and the moment of peace runs to you. Let’s end violence and start accepting the fact that equality chooses no one but benefits the whole people.

The stage is Yours!

As I sat on the blue ocean, I felt the soothing breeze. The coconut trees, the fresh air and the fresh air, the heat and warmth of the sun relaxes me. But, along the way, I've witnessed the chaos behind the masked up paradise. Trashes are everywhere, wasted and improper disposal of their garbage. The blue sea turned into black, the fruits turned into the crow's favorite friend. All turned into chaos and none was close to reality.
Our nature is our home, our living sanctuary. Today, our forests, our ocean, our fields are not the same anymore. For this reason, let's campaign for the awareness of all people that our planet is not the same anymore. Our habitat is slowly turning into a complete mess. If this will continually happen, we won't be able to save our whole race.
It has been known for centuries that our world won't hold a little longer if we won't take actions. In this reason, we should allow to use our social medias, our skills and abilities to rally our rights and our nature's justice for we know that if we won't do anything, our whole generation will die!
Together, let's spread awareness to protect our mother nature. The stage is yours, because you're the star!

Angels in Disguise

Children are blessings. They are seen as angels in disguise. They are everyone's happy pill, their source of happiness. To parents, they are the most precious gift they could ask from above. It completes their family--Mother, Father and a child. their sweet giggles and innocent faces resembles the face of an angel. With proper care and guidance, it cannot be denied that children will grow up as good as their root.
Parties, Birthdays, Christening and other momentous events happens once in a child's life. They celebrate their birthday once a year, they do their parties once a year. Christening happens after a month of their birth. But different celebration will happen this year and a month will be set to celebrate their existence.
Children's month Celebration could make them feel that they are loved, appreciated and special. It gives the spotlight to all the children with no special treatments added. In this celebration, numerous activities are prepared for them to enjoy and to have fun during their childhood year.
Through this program conducted by our City Government, tons of appreciations are received ad sent for they had recognized the need and the help of children for they know that without them, we won't have no one to lead and to serve our country.

Virtues: On the Push

Every month, different clubs celebrate their activities and they represent their own departments. This month, the ESP department commerce their celebration. They launched and officially started their month.
Numerous activities were conducted such as poster making, creating your own doxology, essay writing, bigay-puso program and variety of activities. Throughout this celebration, the virtues and morals are taught. Also, the core values are preset in every activity that they conducted. Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan and Makabansa are the four core values which helps in reaching a peaceful institution to everyone. In this, we could help build connections, we could socialize with other people.
It does not only promote social skills, presentations, but it enhances every child's performance in joining this activity that were proposed and signed. It aims to promote the quality and skills of each individual on the attainment of the core values as they altogether target to make our home, school and community where everyone are taught with proper virtue and with a good moral character.

UN: To Establish

The celebration  of the UN month gives importance  to the sovereign union of countries which holds a great impact to the intervening countries, proudly standing to remain  constant on having stronger relationship and to build much firm communication to other countries.
October  is the month for the celebration of UN. It aims to inform the youth that as young as we are, we should know our country's status, capabilities and needs. It establishes a better learning for students and to allow them to acquire knowledge by conducting numerous activities such as UN quiz, Essay, Search for Mr.and Ms. UN in which where the students are able to express their individual learning and knowledge. The UN quiz allows all participants to impart what they know on a certain topic or issue. In the essay, it unlocks each contestant's product or learning so that they could write a piece about the theme.
In this month, may knowledge be shared to one's mind and soul that they would be aware of the present issues evolving in our country. It is a puzzle piece that should be slowly be assembled. In this celebration, it benefits the whole student body so that they could be aware that our country has its own way of establishing different connections to different countries.
By doing,  one can show their support as we aim  high,  fly soar, Ilocos Sur National High!

Summing Up, Keyboard tap!

Throughout this journey on my ICT 10, I've learned how to be independent specially on doing my activities and blogs. I should not depend anything to someone but instead, do it with my own understanding. 
I've encountered numerous challenges such as how to handle my time, managing it and making sure that I could finish my blogs and activities on time. By making the activities and blogs that was given by our teacher, and by filling up the empty time or our free time, successfully, I had solved these problems.
Moving in, I will ensure that all of my requirements  will be published and will be passed on time. I will make sure that in each meetings, I will learn something and if not, then I won'y stop learning.

A Teacher's Unending Journey

The corner of the room was filled with letters, balloons, gifts and memories. Each smile and the rhythm of music as they sang a  cheerful song that had brought me back to hundredfold of vintage memory hanging up on my mind. The passion burning inside never fades out, the eagerness to teach never falters.
From the month of September until the 5th month of October, we are already celebrating the teacher's day. It was a blurry afternoon when I saw a students running down the busy hallways, racing as if they were being chased by something--catching their breaths just to carry the handful things on my  arms. I sat down, greeted them, taught them their new lesson--the bell rang. The class ended with a very satisfied and contented look on their eyes.
The cooking and  washing of dishes--Ah! Housewife duties. Crying baby filling each corner of the room--Mommy duties! The papers. brown papers, marker and my class record awaits for me. My work never ends here, it's a continuous cycle--Unending journey with bagful eye bags and with my callous hands.
It was never easy, it was tough. It was never a burden, it was a blessing. Hardships were all worth it. It was never easy to fight on your dreams. It was never easy to get the license. It's a vintage memory--the pen that I was holding back then, now, I am holding my certificate  an license with me. My school supplies were turned into technologies that would help me to teach my students. A teacher never  gets tired of doing her passion, she never sees her "paper works" as stress. but somehow, they see it as a blessing; for it is a sign that each day, you are given a chance to be productive and to make a difference.
This is a teacher's unending journey. Today, let's thank them  for doing their very best to  impart knowledge to their students. Happy Teacher's day, our bravest Warriors! Thank you!

It has been the highlight of each high school student to show off and to be acknowledged by their talents, performances, skills, artistry and individuality.
Celebration of Intramurals is the most awaited event for  a student like me. Sports, dance ports, parties and most of all, fun. All of us deserves a break after a stressful day.  During this event, we, students are encouraged to be an audience and to watch all events like volleyball,  dance port, basketball, badminton and other several sports. The clubs prepared some booths to entertain the  students. They were given three  days to operate their booths.  It's a great success because we gained and to see other students's smile  is priceless. The joy and contentment in their eyes sparkles in pure bliss. It was fun and I had fun because we had time with my fellow officers to talk and to be more close with each other.
Developing your physical aspect is important but improving your character should be your number one priority. On  my last year as a junior high school student, I collected and  kept all  memories from the past years of intramurals. The experience had been so different. The joy ,  the freedom--It's all I could  ask for. You never failed me ISNHS. Thank  you.

Nature's Month of Celebration

As I sat at the blue turquoise ocean, the waves rushes towards me. They are coming for me. The cold breeze and the shadows  under the coconut tree, the scorching sun that warms my feeling. I had seen the preservation and conservation. The seashells and the  sand that suits the palette of the sea  comforts me.

Our environment began in a paradise. A safe haven for each individual,  a treasure that gives us the greatest pleasure and lives with us. The trees, animals in the wild, the chirping of birds and the sound of nature calms our souls. The fresh air that we breathe, the chill breeze during the cold night and the rain that follows what I am  feeling. The stars that shines so bright and the moon that gives us light on the  darkest night. This was paradise.

On this modern world, people became worst. We took advantage of our nature's kindness. The resources that we had, the abundant variety of fishes on the ocean and the fruit bearing trees that became  a part of our childhood were snatched away from us. Our surroundings became dirty and worst, it became a complete disaster. 

People's  actions reflects on how  nature respond to our  calling.Thunders, landslides, flood, numerous earthquake, global warming and  climate  change. It feels like these are already part of our life. No one had took this seriously for they do not care about our future generation. They do not think of the future generations that will suffer because of our actions. We don't mind if this will totally break and thrive us.  People seems to neglect our nature. Leaving her helpless and forsaken.

Our school has this Science Month Celebration that targets the youth to  be a steward of our nature. We are all  aware of what our environment is suffering right now.  Through this, we can spread awareness to every young people specially on  our school  by conducting activities such as the battle of the bottles where the students collects bottles and transform them into a useful material that we can use. By doing this simple step,  we are now raising awareness, improving the skills of the citizens and also empowering young minds that even though they are still  young, they are a big help  in saving our environment.

Together, let us all make a difference. Plant a tree, ride a bike,  be stronger don't falter, together we shall stand.

Happy School,Happy Soul!

The earth revolves, as well as people. In our world, depression, anxiety and sadness is very evident. How could we contribute to target and aim every young mind's mental health?

Our school our community has this activity which is the Happy Schools Movement. It aims to help each student to slowly accept their differences, flaws and talents, It allows each child to communicate, socialize and to step out of their comfort zone. Depression is rampant nowadays and we are all aware of that. Depression had gone too far and we can't control it anymore. It's hard to know every child's emotions for they mastered masking up their true emotions, keeping and coping up with their problems on their own.

Ilocos Sur National High School, our home and refuge joined in the conduct of Happy Schools Movement as they focus on every student's mental, physical, emotional and social health. This aims to give encouragements to students who are undergoing pains, abuse and disease called overthinking. It gives refreshment to a child's soul as they undergo joyful activities.

The world has its own unique phase, shape and art. Humans has their own understanding about life. Our school, it's our second home, our refuge and strength. In this happy schools movement, may we support hand in hand this event. For I believe that a happy school, has a lot of happy souls that will celebrate!

Vigan City:Our home, our Culture

Vigan City is known  as the  Seven Wonders City. The home of the most preserved culture, tradition. The aisle of the well known molded clay, made  in city had covered and marked every path of our place. The unity, empowering each Bigueno in molding their skills and showing off their talents.                               

Our city aims to  target young people,elders and children's hearts and  minds to set off their goal, their passion and skills to be prepared on  their next journey.   Showing off their skills will be a big help for them  to discover their identities, their knowledge and their potentials that were hidden for along  period of time. 

The city prepared treats for the tourists to visit and for them to know more  about our cultures and  traditions, our place. Trade Fair is the best place for you and your family. Foods are abundant. The fresh smell of the cooked empanada and the overflowing joy of the customers as they consume their food. Varieties of plants are available and could be  seen  anywhere, the giant trees, the bonsai plants, welcoming  you  on your tour! The handmade and one town one products proudly representing our creativity as a Bigueno.

It cannot be denied that our City had paved its way internationally for it's known for its well preserved culture, tradition and lifestyle. Our place will never go out  of style, it will never falter and will never lose it's rank and stand. Our  gem, our treasure will never be forgotten.  In this Solidarity, may we showoff our skills, talents and creativity  as Biguenos. Our Vigan City, our home and our culture! Mabuhay!

Para sa Susunod na Henerasyon

  Napadako ako sa isang  lumang silid  aklatan at napako ang aking paningin sa isang larawan. Nabalot ng makakapal na alikabok at ang ugong ng mga lumang mesa na tila ba'y may mga taong  nagmamasid sa kapaligiran. Isang lumang libro ang umagaw  ng aking pansin may iba't-ibang disenyong hula ko'y gawa sa matigas na materyal at ang mga letra nito'y nakaukit sa gintong papel na pagkakamalan  mong isang diyamante sa sobrang kinang! Binuksan ko ito  at sumalubong ang labis na nakakasilaw na pahina na nagsasaad ng pamagat na  "Para sa Susunod na  Henerasyon".  Muli kong pinagana ang aking mapaglarong isipan at siniyasat ang mga natitirang mensahe ng aklat. Naka tala sa mga libro ang mga makasaysayang panitikan ng ating mga ninuno na nagmumula sa  iba't-ibang sulok ng bansa. Iba't-ibang wika ang nagamit ngunit ang pagkakaibahang ito ay lumikha ng isang napakagandang sining bunga ng mga malilikhaing isip ng ating mga ninuno.

Labis akong humanga sa kanilang katalinuhan noong nakita ko mismo sa aking mga mata ang kagandahan at ang perpektong pagkasulat ng  lumang alpabeto--ang baybayin. Ang Abakada, ang dahon at tinta  kasabay ng  paglipas ng mga kanilang pamana sapagkat ang mundo'y nabubulag  na sa mga pandayuhang mga wika at kultura. Sa pagbuklat ko ng susunod ng  pahina, tuluyang na ngang kumupas ang mga tinta nito  sapagkat hindi na naaalagaan.  Wala  na ngang nagpapayaman  at prumoproketa sa mga larawang  kupas sapagkat ang tao'y nakatuon na ang atensyon  sa uso at modernisasyon.  

Ngunit ang munting tinig ng taong nasa libro,  parang  hanging  bumubulong sa aking tabi, at  nagsasabing, ako ito, ang iyong Wikang tinalikuran. Ako ito, ang wikang iyong  pinagpalit at piniling sukuan.  At  higit sa  lahat,  ako   ito,  ang iyong  wikang minsan ng pinaglaban ng mga bayaning tuluyan nyong tinalikuran. Ako ito, ang iyong inang bayan. 

Bumalik ako sa ulirat at napagtanto kong, hindi lang sa buwan ng Agosto  dapat ipagyabong at ipagdiwang ang wikang Filipino kundi, sa pang araw-araw natin ay dapat itong ipagmalaki at gamitin. Matatawag  mo bang bansa ito kung ang mga wika  ay ginagaya lang  naman at hindi orihinal? Hindi. Imbis na ikahiya ito,  hinihikayat ko kayong  mga kapwa kong Filipino, na wag nating ikahiya bagkus ay ating ipagmalaki ang sariling atin. Ngayong buwan ng Wika, nawa'y pahalagahan natin ang ating sariling wika at sana ay gamitin  natin ang ating iba't-ibang wika para mapayaman ang ating  kultura. Sama-sama tayo sa isang bansang Filipino. Ikaw, sasama ka ba sa paglalayag?

Improving your Capabilities by expressing your Thoughts

I have learned that I should not be afraid to express my thoughts, my ideas and my knowledge through the reporting and writings we constructed. I gained new knowledge, applied it and living with it. Specially that writing is my number one passion. I acquired basic skills in blogs and I've learned to use my talent to earn. Being in the 10th grade wasn't easy at all.

During my stay on our subject, I was challenged to push myself into my limits and one of them was to memorize different persons and dates which is out of my interest. Being in a class with different talents and skills was hard to cope up since we are all have differences. 

I was able to survive these challenges by doing my best and applying my learning throughout our subject. I did my part as a student and was able to listen to my teacher. Pushing myself through my limits wasn't a help in coping up but, putting yourself together was a big help. 

Moving on to the next quarter, I believe that I will improve myself and will continue to learn. I will not stop learning because what I know is still young and my way of thinking is not yet as mature as others. I ought to make a difference and to continue what I've started.

A piece of Change

If people could see the impact of change then all of us could live in peace. If only those who lead us could see the importance of preparedness, then everyone won’t suffer poverty. If all of us has the willingness to prepare, then no one will die.

 Natural disasters couldn’t be avoided but we can prepare. We could surpass these if only we value the importance of alertness. It can lead us to change—preparedness could lead us to change. No more cry, moan and loss of love ones, craving for justice. None of this will ever happen again if we put our trust to ourselves. None of this will happen if we prepare rather than to blame. Prepare to save and to change. Prepare to lessen the 
number of deaths. If we do this, then all of us will be the greatest ambassador of change.

The theme fits the current situation of our country, we demand change but we don’t move. We continue to rally for it but we don’t contribute for change. Likewise, we should also consider everyone’s differences and shortcomings. Don’t blame the government for not taking part of change. Blame yourself for not doing anything for the change.

Not all can lead but all can serve, not all are push into office but all can make a contribution. Take part for the change, be prepared. Every breath is precious. Treasure it. Prepare for the change. Prevention is better than cure, thus, let’s all make a difference.

Earthquake drill: will it help us?

It cannot be denied that our country experiences active volcanisms and other geographical activities such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and such. Earthquake is everyone’s monster like enemy. The location of our country is along the Pacific Ring of Fire which is an area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where large number of earthquakes occur. 

Conducting an earthquake drill can give benefit to all the people specially to the students who needs more attention in preparing for calamities. For us, in academe, it’s best to be prepared and ready for disasters because no one can predict when an earthquake may happen. Given the population of our school, it will never change the fact that stampede will occur. Thus, with proper  training and advance planning, everyone in school community can be prepared to respond in accordance to what’s happening during and after the occurrence of earthquake.

As we live on a country where earthquakes frequently occur, it’s best to include earthquake preparedness in overall emergency plan. Given the fact that earthquakes won’t and can’t be predicted, we should help each other’s hand to prepare the humankind for the safety of our students and teachers.

“Health is Wealth”. This is a familiar saying known worldwide. In connection to the Nutrition Month Celebration held every July, it’s important to know the benefits of having a healthy lifestyle.

Maintaining your body weight, as well as having proper exercise would help you avoid diseases like cardiovascular diseases and diabetes as well as other harmful conditions.

Nutrition Month Celebration reminds us to treasure our health and set a specific goal and routine on how we could improve our pattern of living. It’s not all about eating vegetables and fruits but it’s all about balancing your activities as well as food intake. During this activity, there are quizzes that could unlock our knowledge about the food and nutrients it              
carries. The different components of go, grow and glow could be our daily basis on how we could achieve a basic but healthy lifestyle. Following the Pinggang Pinoy can be also a basis on how much amount       of food could we take in.

Determining the level of percentage of a certain product would help us maintain our weight. Thus, having and knowing the pros and cons of the food we are eating can help us avoid certain diseases.
