Long We Reign
As I embark through the new chapter of my life and as I leave this year's memories behind the four corners of our ICT room, I can hear the heartfelt laughter echoing through the corridors. The silly jokes and the way ma'am Vera Cruz ride with our solid trips--being in ICT 10 wasn't boring because we made every single second worth it.
Learning is not only acquired through reading but also from the teachings and experiences we've encountered. Throughout this school year, I learned a lot of things and one of this is to communicate. Living life is different from Learning from life.
I've encountered so many challenges and I've been struggling because there are things that I cannot deal with myself but nevertheless, these hindrances will never become successful.
With the help of my fellow classmates and with my teacher, luckily, I surpassed all of these. Trust, laugh, live, love and Communicate. That's what all you need to survive.
To my teacher, Ma'am Vera Cruz. I'm grateful that you've been a part of my journey. The way you teach and laugh, the way you smile, those laughter we shared together and your jokes are my reasons to continue to fight in my battlefields. Continue to become our ray of sunshine, our second mother. You are one of a kind ma'am and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you for everything ma'am, you shared a lot of stories and you are our happy pill. Never forget to bring your bright smile and don't ever feel sad and weary if the day comes that you'll miss us because we are just 15 walks away hahaha. Thank you ma'am, We love you!
Marconi, for the last 8 months, you've been my family. Thank you for the memories whether it is sad or a happy one, I will always keep you all in my heart. Remember the first day when we treat each other as a stranger? I couldn't believe we could be a family. We've been through a lot of issues, disasters, pain, defeats, victory but still, we remain strong and humble. Never forget to shine even in your darkest days, never forget to be the best version of yourselves and among all, never forget to bring your own sunshine. Soon, we'll separate ways and I will be always proud on what you all had become. Look, after 4 years of struggling in jhs, we are finally entering to a new chapter of our highschool life. I wish you all the best and I know we'll continue to achieve all our goals as a Special Science Class students.
Hi, I am Generous Faith Garcia from grade 10 Marconi. Finally ending this blog with my crown held high as I continue to take a step on my next journey. Long we Reign, Marconi

Attorney in the making
We all wish for something. We dream to become successful, happy and contented. But, these living dreams will never come true if we keep on choosing the wrong path.
My longest nightmares lead me to become the best version of myself. It taught me to fight for my dreams and to stand up for myself. These convictions empowered by my faith and trust will surely help me conquer my fears and on achieving my goals in life.
I can imagine myself holding the thickest books, with numerous freckles and hanging glasses on my eyes. With the dark spots under my eyes; a sign of my endless sleepless night and my books as my pillow, my table as my bed and the coffee as my comfort. It brought me into another level of my journey towards my aspirations. With these challenges I had to undergo and those nights I hunger for an hour of sleep, I know in the end, it will be all worth it.
I know pain and tiredness is the least thing we want to feel. People say that any success story is sudden, it is as if one day, we wake up and we are at the peak of what we have. It is as if given to few successful people saying "Nalaing gamin dayta nga ubing" or even wondering if it's really his ability.
The compassion to do something is inevitable. We fall a lot of times and yet we conquer. We have times where we want to breakdown but there's no room for it. But let me remind you, the future holds more than just you think. It allows you to be the best version of yourself and it helps you to grow as a person. No matter how small you are, your difference makes a huge impact.

ISNHS' High School Day
Every school has its own way of celebrating their foundation day. Just like any other schools, the high school day celebration is the most awaited even in our school.
As soon as the month of February starts, the students of Ilocos Sur National High School are getting busy as they struggle to find time in handling their studies and their dance practices. It is known that this annual event happens only once every school year.
It is the most awaited event because there are lot of activities conducted during the span of the celebration. Grade levels starting from grade 7 until grade 12 are required to present their skills in dancing and to represent each year level. This presentations are part of the contested activity wherein the best grade level performers are awarded.
Also, there are booths open for everyone where we can enjoy and have fun.
With these, we are all expected to unite as one as we Fly, Soar High, Ilocos Sur National High!

Kannawidan: A Grand Celebration
People often say that Vigan holds the most significant history the Philippines could offer. It proves that although, man had worked for centuries to rebuild the city, its beauty withstand the values it holds.
Kannawidan Festival is the grandest celebration that our City could offer. This is not only for the Biguenos but for the entire Ilocos Sur. That is why every district may have their own booths in representation of their one town one product. Not only that, artists, musicians, bands, comedians are invited to perform during the night and it cannot be denied that these people gives life to the celebration aside from the growing numbers of people supporting this feast.
Why do we celebrate Kannawidan Festival?
They call it the KANNAWIDAN Ylocos Festival, it is also a time to commemorate the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province since it was separated on February 3, 1818. Kannawidan is a variant of the Ilocano word "tawid" meaning heritage or inheritance. Kannawidan has its beginnings in 1992 when Guia Monroy Valenciano, then vice-president of PCI Bank, began sounding out to friends about establishing a museum. Her son Al, an artist, and the late Perlita Alviar-Foz, who once served as a curator of the Ayala Museumin Vigan, encouraged her. The idea caught on fast. Among the instant converts were: Ogie Balmaceda Alviar and Alice Raval Ventura, the wife of then city mayor Cesar Ventura. Together with Guia and Al, they called on Francis Ablan, then Caltex Phils. President.
With the power of hands, empowered by the creativity of minds, indeed, Kannawidan Festival is the most awaited celebration of our province.

If this will be
We all are rooting for change. Cliche might it sound but we always encounter the word "change" everywhere we go and whatever we do. Things are getting out of hand lately and I must admit, continually, I, myself should be a part of change. We should make a difference. In a lake of fishes and crocodiles, be the lilies. On a garden of roses, be the daisy and as life continues to take heed of what's coming next, be the one who knows before hand what to do.
Popular clothes, jewelries, new set of shoes, make-ups and such are trends; but I must say, none of these exceeds the value of difference. If following these for popularity would made you think that you're part of it, then you're missing the essence of change and difference. Personally, I am aware of what I can do and my capabilities as a person but sometimes, fear and 'what ids' are clouding my mind; eventually questioning myself if I can really be a part of change.
Change starts within us. How can a man be a man if he continues to be the worst version of himself? How can someone say that he can decipher what is right from wrong if he can't start it within himself? Simply, change is within us. We cannot be the best version of ourselves if we continue to stick to the one who's chaining us to move. It is not easy as we all think it could be, but it will be worth it.
The trends that are keeping us in track is not the basis of difference. You can be someone's encouragement, you can be someone's reason to change. This, it will be worth it, these things are meant to happen. Change starts within us. Be the rose among the thorns and be the butterfly among the flowers.

Fiesta ala Ilokana!
On the blazing day of the year and on the roaring streets of Vigan City, lies a hundred fold histories and stories to tell.
The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. After he was touched by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed to Paul and he endured a lot of hardships and danger to spread the word of God to far places.
Yearly, it is every Bigueno's tradition to feast and celebrate our City's fiesta. It is expected that a lot of activities will occur during this span of time such as Carnivals, shopping spree and a lot of products produced by the different places within the scale of Ilocos Sur.
It is quite amazing how our place still values our culture and our untold history. The presence of each Ilokano people had come to unite and to witness every inch of the program and to show that they support their activity.
It has come to a conclusion that indeed, every one of us MUST carve into our hearts that our place has a momentous and unique way of spending our fiesta, it is deeply rooted in our mind and heart that once a Bigueno, always a Bigueno!

Growing Bean Pods
As time passes by, and as the moon changes its phase, it only means one thing---hope. Everyday, we fail and yet we conquer. Continually, we discover new things about us because as humans, we continue to grow and be the best version of ourselves. It wasn't easy being on the stage where you feel unsafe; you are doubting yourself and above all, you are questioning your purpose here in this world.
Another year came and it taught us a lot of lessons, pains and blessings. We were tested by countless downfalls and debris, charged with the hundred volts of hatred and sufferings and yet, we stood as strong and continued with the flow of the cascading river on the cold breeze of sunlight. I, personally had been on my toughest days and on my rays of happiness. Believe me, both of them wasn't as easy as I expected but it turned out to be the worst nightmare I had experienced. At first, I was happy but eventually, throughout my journey alone in my own Neverland, I have discovered a lot of pirates along my journey on the sea. It was a rough-sailing fairy tale and I'm glad I reached this far. 2019 had been a roller coaster ride for me and it wasn't easy as counting one two three nor reciting the alphabet. Believe me, I had encountered tons of daydreams and cliches; but I stood out of those who tried to bring me down.
On this new year, it's time to cut off those who are not worthy of my forgiveness. I would gladly erase those who are against with my own self growth and in my path where God is leading me. I will now let go all of those heartaches and baggage 2019 had delivered me and I will now Let God take the wheel. I am expecting greater things to come, with no anxiety attacks, no more selfishness but instead, to mold myself, to cherish every moment and to build and reconstruct what I really am with my individuality alone.
On the heart wilting bean pods, I'm lost between them for I will be a daisy on the green meadow. 2020 will be God's year and not mine.
